Volleyball wins Rich South Tourney

This past Saturday, the Rich Central girls’ varsity volleyball team took home first place in the Rich South Tournament.  The girls went 5-0 on the day defeating Queen of Peace, St. Francis De Lasalle, Rich East, Bradley Bourbonnais, and Kennedy to win the tournament. Three of the five games went into a 3rd game match, and each time the team found a way to come out with a win.

The championship game finished with a thrilling 30-28 back and fourth win.  The girls go into conference play this week with a 10-1 overall record. Upcoming match-ups will be Rich East this Tuesday and Bloom on Thursday. Coach Polensky could not be more proud of the team, saying, “Their hard work and dedication is starting to pay off.”
