Synopsis: Five gay males who are experts at five different things form relationships with men and women who often have different beliefs from theirs and they help them change their bad life habits or ways of living.

The Netflix remake of the TV show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” now called “Queer Eye” has the same premise as the old TV show that aired on July 15, 2003 and ended on October 30, 2007. Five gay men, called the Fab 5, travel around the world to change the lives of people who are nominated by friends, family, significant others, or just people who are close to them. The five men go to different places and change the lifestyles of the people who are nominated.

Antoni helps people with culinary skills and learning how to make healthy food choices for themselves and their families. Bobby is the interior designer and remakes the place of the nominated individuals’ choosing. Jonathan is the groomer and helps with personal appearance, hair-wise. Karamo is the culture expert and helps with self-confidence and mental/emotional support. The Last of the 5, Tan, works with the nominated and their style choices. He provides a new wardrobe and options for style.

Overall the five men, bring joy to many of the people they come in touch with. They change people’s lives for the better. They have provided people with the confidence not only to change their own lives, but to even come out (self-disclosure of their sexual orientation or of their gender identity) to family members or friends. They have given people the courage to improve their lives and they have given their viewers something to believe in. The series that has 3 seasons is a must watch.
